Get started with Pro for Teams

Create a team, subscribe to Pro for Teams, invite members, verify your email domain, and manage billing.

Pro for Teams gives your whole team Pro-tier access with per-seat pricing. You create the team, subscribe once, and invite your coworkers. Each member gets Pro access without a personal subscription.

Teams live in Settings › Team. You can also open it from your account menu in the sidebar (Team).

What's included

  • One usage pool for Deni AI chat, Flixa, and Deni Run
  • Pro benefits for every team member
  • Per-seat billing: you pay only for active members
  • Centralized billing and member management, with an audit log
  • Team projects shared with every member
  • Team domains, so coworkers join with their work email

For what the Pro plan itself includes, see Plans and usage.

What needs a paid team plan

Creating a team, inviting members, and managing roles work without a subscription. These features need an active team plan:

FeatureIf the plan ends
Team projects (creating or sharing a project with the team)Projects already shared stay usable.
Audit logChanges are still recorded and appear once the plan is active again.
Team domainsDomains you already added stop applying until the plan is active again.

Create a team

Guest accounts can't create teams. Sign in first.

  1. Open Settings › Team.
  2. Select Create Team.
  3. Enter a Team Name and select Create.

The person who creates the team is its owner. To create another team later, use the team switcher at the top of the team menu and select New Team.

Subscribe

Only the team owner can subscribe.

  1. Go to Settings › Team › Billing.
  2. On the Pro for Teams card, choose Monthly or Yearly with the switch in the top right. Yearly billing shows how much you save.
  3. Select Subscribe and complete checkout.

The price is shown per seat. One seat is one team member.

For payment methods and invoices, see Payments.

Invite members

Owners and admins can invite people.

  1. Go to Settings › Team › Members and select Invite.
  2. Enter their Email and choose a Role (Member or Admin).
  3. Select Send Invitation.

The person gets an email with a link. They can also accept from Invitations for you in Settings › Team. Until then, the invitation appears under Pending Invitations, where you can cancel it.

When someone accepts, they join the team right away and your billed seat count may change. A team can have up to 50 members.

Joining a team cancels a personal subscription

If the team has an active team plan, joining it cancels the member's personal subscription immediately. Unused time is credited toward future invoices, not refunded.

Roles

RoleWhat they can do
MemberUse Pro access and team projects, and see the member list.
AdminEverything a member can, plus invite and remove members, change roles, manage domains, view the audit log, and cancel or resume the subscription.
OwnerEverything an admin can, plus subscribe, switch between monthly and yearly, open Manage for billing details, and delete the team.

To change someone's role, open the ⋯ menu next to them on the Members page and select Make Admin or Make Member. The owner's role can't be changed here.

Verify your email domain

Requires a paid team plan. Owners and admins only.

Verify a domain your organization owns, such as example.com. Coworkers with an address on that domain can then join the team with their work email. They can also sign up even if the domain isn't normally allowed.

  1. Go to Settings › Team › Domains.

  2. Under Email domains, enter the domain and select Add domain.

  3. Add the TXT record shown at your DNS provider:

    FieldValue
    Name_deni-ai-verification.<your domain>
Valuedeni-ai-verification=... (copy it from the page)
  4. Select Verify. When it works, the domain shows Verified.

If you see "The TXT record was not found yet", wait a while for the DNS change to appear, then try again. You can remove the TXT record after the domain is verified.

Choose how people join

Under Joining by domain, choose what happens when someone signs in with a verified domain email:

SettingWhat happens
Join automaticallyThey join the team as members. Each one adds a billed seat, and an active personal subscription is canceled.
Suggest and require admin approval (default)They see the team and can select Request to join. An owner or admin approves or declines each request under Join requests on the Members page.
OffNobody joins through the domain. Its addresses can still sign up and be invited as usual.

Audit log

Requires a paid team plan. Owners and admins only.

Settings › Team › Audit Log shows a history of billing and policy changes made by your team's owners and admins. It includes events such as members invited, joined, or removed, role changes, plan changes, and domains added or verified.

Team billing

Owners and admins can open Settings › Team › Billing. It shows the current plan, the number of seats, and the renewal date.

  • Switch between monthly and yearly (owner): pick the other interval on the Pro for Teams card and select Switch. A dialog shows the estimated charge. The prorated difference is charged to the team's payment method right away.
  • Manage (owner): opens the team's Stripe billing portal.
  • Cancel subscription (owner or admin): the plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, then ends for every member. You can Resume it any time before then.

The Billing page also has Team Max Mode settings.

Remove members or leave a team

Owners and admins can remove members. On the Members page, open the ⋯ menu next to the person and select Remove. The owner can't be removed.

To leave a team, go to Settings › Team and select Leave team. To join again, you need a new invitation.

The owner can't leave the team. Transfer ownership first: on the Members page, open the ⋯ menu next to another member and select Transfer ownership. They become the owner, and you become an admin.

Delete the team

Only the owner can delete a team. Go to Settings › Team and select Delete team under Danger Zone. This removes every member and cancels the team subscription. It can't be undone.

If you own a team, you need to delete it or transfer ownership before you can delete your account. See Your data and privacy.
