Payments and changing plans
Subscribe, switch plans or billing intervals, cancel, and find your invoices.
You manage your plan in Settings › Billing. Payments are processed by Stripe, and you pay by credit card.
- Subscribe, change plans, cancel: on the Settings › Billing page.
- Invoices, card, billing details: in the Stripe customer portal, opened with Manage.
Guests can't subscribe. Sign in first. See Guest accounts. For what each plan includes, see Plans and usage.
Prices and currency
Prices are on the plan cards in Settings › Billing.
- From Japan, prices are shown in yen. Elsewhere, they're shown in US dollars.
- You're charged in the currency shown on the card.
- Yearly plans show how much you save compared with paying monthly, and what it works out to per month.
- Max Mode credits are priced in US dollars. Checkout may show the amount in your local currency.
The currency follows where you're connecting from, not your account's language setting.
Subscribe
- In Settings › Billing, choose Monthly or Yearly on the Plus or Pro card. Go is monthly only.
- Click Subscribe.
- Enter your card and billing address. If you have a coupon code, enter it and click Apply.
- Agree to the Terms of Service and click Start subscription.
Your card may ask you to confirm the payment (3D Secure). The new plan starts as soon as the payment goes through, and the page shows your receipt.
If you've never subscribed before, plan cards sometimes show a limited-time discount ("% off").
Change plans
Use this to upgrade, downgrade, or switch between monthly and yearly.
- On the card of the plan you want, click Change plan. For Plus and Pro, pick Monthly or Yearly first.
- Check the Estimated charge in the dialog. The difference between plans is prorated.
- Check "I have reviewed the estimated charge and agree to the plan change" and click Confirm.
The change takes effect right away, and the prorated amount is billed immediately. If the payment doesn't go through, your plan stays as it was.
Your monthly usage pool switches to the new plan's size right away. Usage you've already spent this month still counts.
Cancel
- In Settings › Billing, click Cancel subscription on the Current Plan card.
- Confirm with Cancel subscription.
Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. The Current Plan card shows "(Cancels date)". After that date, your account goes back to the Free plan.
Until then, you can click Resume to keep your subscription. While a cancellation is scheduled:
- You can't change plans. The plan cards show Resume to change.
- Max Mode is unavailable. Unused credits stay on your account until they expire.
Refunds
Access starts as soon as you pay, so paid plans are generally non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. Used Max Mode credits can't be refunded. See the Terms of Service.
Invoices, card, and billing details
Click Manage on the Current Plan card to open the Stripe customer portal. There you can:
- See and download past invoices.
- Update your payment card.
- Update your billing email, name, address, and tax ID.
Plan changes aren't available in the portal. Use Change plan in Settings › Billing.
Team plans
Pro for Teams is billed separately, in Settings › Team. See Pro for Teams.
